Carbon Collective Elixir Salt Remover Concentrate - Underbody Cleaner

Road salt rapidly accelerates corrosion, attacking chassis and suspension components. Elixir neutralises it, targeting bonded, crystallised salt grains a normal wash will not shift. Salt reacts with fuels, oils and other road molecules to form a coating that even long immersion in water barely lifts.

Elixir is a foaming, low-pH pre-wash. The foam clings and extends working time so it can break down granular road salt, grit and inorganic road film, and lets you agitate stubborn areas. Focus on the underside, arches and chassis, where salt collects heaviest. Older cars are most at risk: they were not E-coated before the 1990s and rubberised underseal cracks with age.

Use Elixir as step one of a two-stage pre-wash, then follow with Ultimus or Ultimus+ Snow Foam to neutralise residual chemistry.

Directions for use:

1. Dilute and apply via spray bottle, snow foam lance or hose adapter, using a stronger dilution on first use.
2. Cover the vehicle's lower half, plus arches and chassis.
3. Leave to dwell for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse until the water runs clear.
5. Protect afterwards with Helix Anti-Corrosion Spray.

Dilution and pH:

Deep clean via spray bottle: 150ml to 850ml water, pH 4.5
Deep clean via snow foam lance: 200ml to 800ml water, pH 6.5
Maintenance via spray bottle: 100ml to 900ml water, pH 6.0
Maintenance via snow foam lance: 100ml to 900ml water, pH 6.7
Maintenance via hose adapter: neat, pH 6.5
Bucket additive: 50ml in a 20L bucket gives pH 7, 100ml gives pH 6.75
